About

I am a painter, specializing in bold oil paintings of beautiful women and their gorgeous shoes.

My tumblr is a mix of my artwork, sketches and ideas, alongside pieces of the internet that I want to remember and collect.

I live in Brighton, and have a studio in the Brighton Seafront Artist Quarter.

Visitors to both my blog, and my sunny seaside studio, are always welcome.

During the plague in the Middle Ages, some doctors wore a primitive form of biohazard suit called “plague suits”. The mask included red glass eyepieces, which were thought to make the wearer impervious to evil. The beak of the mask was often filled with strongly aromatic herbs and spices to overpower the miasmas or “bad air” which was also thought to carry the plague.

This is amazing. I’ve always wondered about the drawings of people looking like this.
