what type of paint do you use?

Most of the time I work in oils, although I also use watercolor/gouache for some of the smaller sketches.

Seeing those flames, though- man that gave me a fright.
Shit, there’s a huge fire on the beach…. one of the arches is burning.
I’m not in any danger- but my friends most likely are.

Having a studio on the seafront is brilliant… but there are days… maybe only moments… where it’s just a little overwhelming.
Hope i don’t sound too grumpy- an icecream and a ride of the carousel usually makes it all seem much better.

Brighton beach is full to bursting today.
It’s days like this that I dream of being in a field, with perhaps some grass, a couple of daisies… maybe a tree.
