"It is now clear to us that if we were not so self-focused and myopic, we would have been able to see that the time you wasted diligently writing legislation that would forever seal the definition of marriage as being between one man and one woman, could have been more usefully spent reshaping the legal definition of ‘adultery’."
From an open letter to Amy Koch, ‘apologising’ for the ‘cheapening’ of marriage by the gay & lesbian community.
what is up with the UK and ferris wheels? you guys really seem to have a thing for them. (i'm just saying this because of the eye and whatever the new one in brighton is called) are there any other major(ish) cities in the UK that have ferris wheels?
Well… this is a question I have wondered about too!
I think the success of the eye has led to some copycat wheels, with the hope that they’ll bring visitors to the city.
There are a few others around in different cities, and in fact Brighton’s wheel is second hand (from South Africa, I think).
Hopefully the other cities that have wheels like our, have a different geography that us- as you can’t see too much more from up there than you can if you went across the street, and stood on a hill.
I am currently waiting for two deliveries… new canvases, and a new phone.
I’m filling the void of a) having nothing to paint on, and b) not being able to call anyone and go to the pub, while I wait for something to paint on, by decorating the covers of a million lot of Moleskine Notebooks.
But I’d rather be painting while waiting for my friends to call and invite me to the pub.
